Holmegaard Akva Vase

Akva glass vase by notable designer Per Lutken of Holmegaard Glass, who was recruited from art school in 1942. Lutken is known for his asymmetric, organic and flowing designs. Curving bud-like or teardrop forms with heavy walls in cool, grey or blue are typical of his work, which was often inspired by the icy Scandinavian landscape. Glass is marked with an engraved signature, ‘Holmegaard’ and numbered.
