Q. Is everything on the website in stock and ready to ship?

A. Yes. All hardware and every guitar featured on the site are in stock and ready to ship. There are exceptions, but in those events you will be notified within 24 hours of placing your order and your credit card will not be charged.

Q. Can I still requisition a 5394 guitar?

A. Only 35 of these guitars were ever made and some sold for as much as $10,000. They were pieces of art as much as they were marvelously playing and sounding instruments. While we are not building 5394s in our regular production, they are available by special order. Delivery time is 2 to 3 months.

Q. Do you still fabricate and/or sell lots of miscellaneous parts (screws, anodized guards, vintage knobs, etc.)?

A. Yes, but it takes a lot of time and if you want them you really have to ask nicely or have to know someone real important.

Q. What are shipping policies?

A. Everything is shipped FEDEX 2 day. Orders placed by noon EST will ship same day.

Q. Is it safe to buy from a guitar through the Internet/by mail from Vintique?

A. Yes. All transactions are secure and encrypted. Also, we are a nationally advertising company and we rely on such ads for our livelihood. Please call them if you have any complaints. Currently, we are in Vintage Guitar Magazine -- their number is (800) 844-1197.

Q. How was Danny Gatton's guitar setup electronically?

A. Danny used Joe Barden Danny Gatton model pickups in all his Telecasters, also adding Joe's strat neck/middle pickup where necessary for custom applications. We used standard 3-way CRL switches and also used 500k volume pots, .05 capacitors, and 250k-tone pots. All pots topped with the famous Vintique heavy knurled knobs for total command of all his famous Wah's and Swells.

Q. Why purchase Vintique products vs. other suppliers of Telecaster parts?

A. Most parts houses supply suitable replacement parts of reasonable quality for general use. The price is also modest due to the methods and materials that go into manufacturing them. Some of them fit, some of 'em don't. Some parts can improve the sound and appearance of your Tele and again others rob performance. At Vintique, our designs must meet stringent requirements to even qualify them for consideration as part or our product line. The criteria are:.

  • must exceed its original replacement's overall quality in design and manufacture.
  • must have a superior sonic quality to enhance any decent guitar, or put the final touch of tone and class on an already great guitar!
  • must also have the appearance approaching finely crafted jewelry.
  • must provide a lifetime of functional service and good looks.

Q. What about amplifier and guitar restoration work?

A. We only do this on special occasions, but try us anyway!
